Jarosch Bakery offers a wide range of delicious pastries, including eclairs, tarts, pies, sweet rolls, coffeecakes, donuts, etc. There are so many, only a few are described here. Please call for additional information.

PASTRIES for DESSERT:

ECLAIRS
Eclairs are a popular treat all year long. Our home made custard (Bavarian Cream) generously fills the large éclair shell. Delicious chocolate frosting then covers the shell end to end. The large eclairs are available daily; the miniature eclairs are only made if ordered.

CREAM PUFFS
Cream puffs, made from the same shell as an éclair, are filled with our creamy and refreshing whipped cream. Large cream puffs are available daily; the miniature cream puffs are made only if ordered.

NAPOLEANS
Made from our own flaky puff pastry dough, our napoleans are filled with our home made custard (Bavarian Cream), topped with white icing and striped with strawberry, a delicious little twist on the typical chocolate variety. Miniature napoleons are available upon request.

Miniature Pastries for SWEET TABLES


For a special event, wedding, shower, or office party, nothing beats the delectable varieties of our mini pastries. Each guest can have his or her favorite (if they’re fast enough) while you, the host, are showered with compliments for having the perfect dessert. We recommend 1.5 to 2 items per person when used after a meal, or in combination with your wedding cake; 2 to 3 items per person is appropriate when the sweet table is the only dessert or the only food being served. Choose from the following list to create your own assortment.

Miniatures

BROWNIES-A rich brownie square filled with pecans and walnuts and topped with creamy chocolate fudge frosting.

BUTTERFLIES-Petite yellow and devil’s food cupcakes split across the top and filled with delicious tangy lemon cream and chocolate buttercream, respectively.

COCONUT BALLS-A piece of devil’s food cake rolled in buttercream and coconut.

CREAM PUFFS-Small round, airy puffs filled with fluffy whipped cream.

CUSTARD PUFFS-Small round, airy puffs filled with custard.

SWANS-The same as a cream puff only made more distinctive when crowned with an edible swan’s neck.

ECLAIRS-A small, oblong puff filled with custard and topped with delicious chocolate frosting.

BANANA SPLITS-Petite eclairs cut in half and abundantly filled with custard and bananas.

PINEAPPLE BOATS-Petite eclairs cut in half and abundantly filled with custard and pineapple, then loaded with whipped cream, and topped with pineapple pieces.

STRAWBERRY BOATS-Petite eclairs cut in half and abundantly filled with custard and fresh strawberries, covered with whipped cream, and topped with strawberry pieces.

CHEESE CUPS-Dainty cookie cups generously filled with a savory blend of cheeses.

FRUIT CUPS-Dainty cookie cups generously filled with a scrumptious fruit filling of cherry, blueberry, peach, or strawberry.

GERMAN CHOCOLATE CUPS-Cookie cups loaded with authentic, home made, old-fashioned German Chocolate icing full of pecans and coconut.

MALLOWS-A devil's food cake square garnished with a delicate dollop of buttercream and coated with chocolate fondant.

RUM SQUARES-A small, layered square piece of yellow cake doused with the warm flavor of rum, filled and iced with chocolate rum-flavored butter cream.

PETIT FOURS-A small, two-layer piece of white cake with a filling of strawberry preserves, with a white fondant covering and a delicate buttercream rosebud on top. Decorations for other occasions available upon request.

Pastries For Your Morning



SWEET ROLLS
Mornings get off to a better start, meetings are more productive and car trips are shorter when you have Jarosch Bakery sweet rolls to satisfy your cravings. There is a sweet roll to suit each person’s taste – Apple, Apricot, Blueberry, Cherry, Lemon, Peach, Raspberry, Pineapple, Chocolate Chip, Custard, Almond, Caramel Pecan, Cheese, Plain, Pecan, Raisin, and Prune (for our more regular customers).

FRY CAKES (i.e., donuts and raised donuts, which are fried)
Add additional varieties of pastries with raised donuts, long johns, cinnamon Pershings, apple fritters, jelly bismarks, and pretzel-shaped fry cakes. With the exception of the Pershings and fritters, they come either in a thin white glaze or chocolate icing.


We also make delicious cake donuts. Get ‘em with chocolate icing, plain, maple/nut, white iced, white iced with coconut, chocolate with sprinkles, cinnamon sugar, etc. At Halloween, everyone’s favorite is the orange iced with chocolate sprinkles. You’ll find yourself just "goblin" ‘em down.


CUSTARD BISMARKS
Although technically a fry cake, this item is in a class of its own. With a very generous filling of our home made custard and chocolate topping, these bismarks are to die for. The bismarks are made daily, available with the chocolate topping or with powdered sugar. REFRIGERATION REQUIRED.

MUFFINS
Blueberry, Bran, Cranberry, Banana and other muffin flavors of are delicious in the morning, afternoon, or just to have on hand for a snack. Our muffins are cupcake sized. With advance notice, we can have a variety of mini muffins available for you (minimum 6 dozen order).

KOLACKY
Kolacky, available on Thursdays in the store, can be ordered for any day of the week. Mini kolacky are also available. We make our kolacky flat, in a circular shape with fruit or cheese topping. Other shapes, like a fold-over, we do not make.

PASTRY STICKS
Pastry sticks, small logs of puff pastry dough with a cheese, apricot, or almond filling, make a wonderful addition to a breakfast tray or dessert/sweet table. Normally available on Mondays, pastry sticks can be ordered for any day of the week with two days advance notice.

TORTES

(German for "cakes", typically fancy layered cakes with fillings.)

Jarosch Bakery creates a wide variety of tortes available daily. Several tortes are available in 7" or 8" round sizes. For larger crowds, get several varieties to satisfy all of your guests’ desires (at least as far as cake is concerned). Our tortes make great additions to sweet tables for weddings, anniversaries and other elegant functions



AMARETTO TORTE
If you enjoy the magnificent flavor of almonds this is the torte for you. A delicious yellow cake flavored with amaretto liquor, filled with rich amaretto whipped cream, and then crowned with slivered almonds makes this a sensational dessert.

BAILEY'S IRISH CREAM TORTE
Four layers of our delicious devil's food and yellow cake filled with a delectable combination of whipped cream flavored with Bailey's. Chocolate chips surround the sides of the torte and streamers of fudge and maraschino cherries decorate the top.

BANANA WHIP CREAM TORTE
Bakery goods made with bananas seem to conjure up memories of warm times spent with family and friends. Our two banana flavored cake layers embrace a winning combination of raspberry filling and soft whipped cream generously sprinkled with pecan pieces, all combined to make a luscious dessert for any occasion.

BLACK FOREST TORTE
Elegant is the word to describe our Black Forest torte. Two layers of devil's food and one layer of yellow cake are enhanced with cherry liquor, then abundantly filled with cherries and more liquor flavored pink whipped cream. A border of maraschino cherries make this Old World favorite a treat that will impress your guests.

CHOCOLATE CHEESE TORTE
Light, rich cheesecake lies sumptuously between two thin layers of devil's food cake. We add satiny chocolate whipped cream as a filling and icing and then scatter sprinkles across the top. A scrumptious one of a kind treat!

CUSTARD TORTE
The rich, full flavor of our famous custard rests between alternate layers of devil's food cake and yellow cake to make this torte a delectable treat especially after we frost it with fluffy whipped cream and then cap it off with walnut pieces and marachino cherries.

DANISH TORTE
The mouth-watering combination of pineapple, raspberry, and custard fillings between layers of yellow cake makes for a superb torte. The icing restates itself with whipped cream encircled with a second touch of raspberry and pineapple.

DEVIL'S FOOD WHIPPED CREAM CAKE
Chocoholics we have just the cake for you. Deluxe devil's food cake with a creamy whipped cream filling and icing. The chocolate shavings on the top only add to the irresistible temptation of this special torte.

GERMAN CHOCOLATE CAKE
This is the real German chocolate cake mix that Grandpa used to make. The combination of the coconut and pecans in the same authentic icing of years ago makes it difficult to stop with just one piece of this wonderful dessert.

GRAHAM CRACKER TORTE
Graham cracker crumbs and honey in this cake mix create a pleasing, mellow taste. It's filled and iced with whipped cream and then decorated with chocolate covered graham crackers making this a unique and fun dessert to serve to your family.

HAWAIIAN TORTE
This cake brings the flavors of the tropics into your home. Three layers of yellow cake are filled with cherries and crushed pineapple, then frosted with creamy whipped cream. A pineapple ring, cherries, and toasted coconut on top make this a refreshing delicacy.

LEMON MOUSSE TORTE
A light and refreshing taste, this yellow cake with lemon mousse filling makes a great dessert on a warm summer evening. The cake is topped with a whipped cream/lemon mousse swirl and a twist of lemon.

RUM TORTE
The warm flavor of rum comes through in this appetizing torte consisting of devil's food cake filled with rum flavored chocolate whipped cream and then iced with the same. The extra treat of rum cordials on top makes this a must for rum lovers.

STRAWBERRY WHIPPED CREAM CAKE
Thoughts of summer come to mind when the word strawberry is mentioned. Our strawberry whipped cream cake with its yellow cake layers filled with frozen strawberries and then iced with whipped cream and strawberry swirls will delight all you serve this to.

Layer Cakes




Jarosch Bakery offers several varieties of layer cakes. We refer to our buttercream cakes and fudge iced cakes as "layer cakes," although certainly a "torte" has layers of cake and could be categorized as such, but we have to differentiate somehow and that’s how we do it, so there. Our layer cakes, also called "store cakes" (just to add to the confusion) are available in 7" and 8" rounds, each is two layers high with one filling. Variations on our standard varieties are available upon request.

BUTTERCREAM FILLED AND ICED
Choose between yellow cake and devil’s food cake. These cakes are then filled and iced with white buttercream or chocolate buttercream. They are named, quite creatively, "Yellow Cake with White Buttercream" or "Yellow Cake with Chocolate Buttercream," etc.

FUDGE ICED CAKES
Similar to the cakes above, you can choose between yellow cake and devil’s food cake. At this point, it starts to get a little more complicated: the yellow cakes are filled with chocolate buttercream, then fudge iced, and the devil’s food cakes are filled with white buttercream, and fudge iced. The contrasts make for very attractive cake when cut and served.

HALF & HALF CAKES
A treat for the eyes as well as the palate, our half & half cake is one layer of white cake (not yellow) and one layer of devil’s food, filled with white buttercream, iced with fudge on the sides and swirled with buttercream and fudge on top. It’s delicious!

FUDGE NUT CAKE
This cake is made from two square devil’s food layers with small pecans baked into the layers, filled with chocolate buttercream and iced with our homemade fudge icing mixed with additional pecans.
