IRISH SODA BREAD - It's uniqueness lies in the use of baking soda as a leavening agent rather than the commonly used yeast cultures. To activate the baking soda, soured milk-- usually buttermilk-- is added to the dough. The result is a dense yet tender dough with a slight tang from the buttermilk and a harder crust on top. Raisins folded into our loaf add little bursts of sweetness throughout the dough.

RYE BREAD - Our Rye Bread is a fantastic accompaniment to Irish fare like Shepherd's Pie, Irish Stew, Coddle, and Corned Beef, not to mention it's perfect for making Reuben Sandwiches with leftover beef! We make it from scratch daily at our bakery and you'll find it to be soft with a chewy crust and earthy flavor.
